Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors since the year 2011 she was one of the original co-artistic directors of Speech of Fire. When she was the Artistic Director of SSC she also served as the company's producer costume/set designer composer/music director and text coach. While she would usually be the head of her group, her first directing role was as part of SSC King Lear.
